Say hello to the model of Acer TravelMate 200 it it supposed to have a great performance according to the official advertising page, but that’s only partly true. The real advantage is the 12″ screen which I think is the best mix of a netbook and a notebook dimension. It has enhanced multimedia in all in one portable solutions. Has 2 USB ports, 5GB Hard Disc and 12 inch display.It also has four programmable launch keys that make this notebook really easy to use. According to acer it is the perfect combination of Acer quality and reliability, but with the 5GB of hard drive it is just a big waste of the 12 inch screen. This reminds me of the first netbook the asus eeepc with 7 inch screen, but the difference is the asus was slow but it was only experimental. This is a newer model and with a 12 screen could have been much more used. Anyhow the drivers are hard to find, and as you may have already assumed it does come with windows xp, and it is barely the only OS that can be installed on it. So you better stick to it.

The Acer Ferrari 5000 comes with a AMD Turion processor, 2GB RAM and ATI Radeon X1600 Graphic Card. It has 5-in-1 media card reader built-in and 1.3 megapixel digital camera built-in. It is build inside of a carbon fiber casing which should represent somehow the Ferarri brand, but it is far from that really. It is a little bit heavy for a mainstream laptop, but it is what it is. By the model name itself it should represent some kind of a gaming notebook, but it seems it is a little far from that. AMD have great models for gaming processors, but they are really not advisable for portability because of they heating problem, they do heat much more than those of Intel. However from what people have been saying, it seems that these are reliable notebooks. With only 2 gigabytes of ram again these fall in the windows xp category, so I would strongly advise you to install xp on these. If drivers are hard to find for you, here they are below in this post.

This model of Acer, the Ferrari 3000 features a fancy and sporty design, with 15 inch LCD display. It has a great performance thanks to the AMD processor and the ATI Radeon 9200 graphic technology. It has a great networking options, but poor battery life, and it is a little bit heavy, so it is not very portable. Again it is the Ferrari series with a funny AMD XP-M processor. These machines are built for Ferarri fans, but not for PC geeks or anything similar.

This model of Acer Extensa 7630ZG features an Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo Processor with up to 6MB L2cache. The 17inch display provides sharp and detailed picture, and thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT, this notebook has a great graphic performance. The only con might be its weigh of 3.60 kg, but the other specifications make up for it. This is still holding up and it’s relatively new notebook, so Windows 7 would run fine on it. You can choose however between both XP and 7 because all of the drivers for xp are available here on this page.

The Extensa models generally represent business models, but this Acer Extensa 5630G can satisfy the taste of the customers that are looking for an universal multimedia notebook solution. It has a great graphic performance thanks to the ATI Mobility Radeon graphic card. It features Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5800 and 320 GB HDD, which is good enough for the regular users. The keyboard has an interesting stylish and a little bit spacey design. The only problem that can be considered in this notebook is the missing Bluetooth module.
